Our story

We learned this business one piece at a time.

It started with Andres “Tito” Moreno. Tito played padel for the U.S. team as a junior and again as an adult, and he came home from every trip thinking the same thing: people here would love this game if they ever got the chance to play it.

Grant, Mason and Tito met at Texas A&M University. Tito put a racquet in our hands and that was that. He founded AMET in 2023, and the two of us joined him not long after.

None of us had built a padel facility before. Almost nobody in the country had. So we worked it out one piece at a time: how a court actually gets shipped and put together, what the slab underneath it has to be, which permits a city is going to ask for, what glass and lighting really cost, how you hire for a club and fill it once the doors open. Every project taught us something the last one hadn’t.

For a long stretch, most people we called had never heard of padel. We kept at it because we were sure it was going to be one of the biggest racquet sports in the world, and we wanted to be the ones who built it here.

Two years on, that adds up to 36 courts installed, six of them developed into full facilities, and two national firsts. The first padel court at a school in the United States, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal in Austin. And the largest indoor padel club in the country, Urban Padel in Doral, Florida.

Andres “Tito” Moreno

Founder

More than ten years travelling the world competing in padel means I know the game inside and out. At a certain point I took my game to the next level and stopped training inside the court to train outside the court. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Texas A&M University. After years of figuring out how to grow padel in the States, I built AMET to share my love of the sport further, develop and manage high-class facilities, and grow the game worldwide.

Co-Founder

I grew up in the racquet sport world, in tennis academies, with a real love for the games themselves. I got my degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from Texas A&M University and worked with athletes while I was in school, then followed a passion for health and fitness into gyms, coaching people on exercise and nutrition. Wanting back into sport, I reconnected with Tito and joined AMET to reignite that passion for racquet sports and build something truly magnificent.

Co-Founder

I may be new to padel, but it did not take long for me to develop what I like to call “Padel Fever.” With a degree in Business Management from Texas A&M University, I have always been drawn to understanding how businesses operate, grow, and create strong experiences for their customers. Padel gave me the opportunity to combine that mindset with a sport I genuinely enjoy. Since getting involved, I have gained hands-on experience in facility operations, development, partnerships, and community engagement. I am excited to continue learning every side of the sport while using my experience and passion to help grow padel and strengthen its communities throughout the United States.
